My girl is such a whirlwind, but she is also darn funny. Now that she is talking so much, she has me cracking up daily with things that come out of her mouth. Also, her excitement for everything is pretty funny too. Who would of thought that going to a science museum would be pure excitement (which we did on Sunday)? To Briana, it was. What is going to happen when she eventually visits Disney World? I think her head will explode. Does anyone know how to fix that?
Anyway, here are a few videos that show Bri in action and will give you a little giggle...
Briana commentating on fireworks on July 4th...
Briana running down the hall at the science museum to get to the kid gallery...
Briana calling into an echo exhibit at the museum. She thought she had to yell into it. It was so funny.
And lastly, Briana getting a cat painted on her arm at the picnic. It's not funny, but it was interesting how the lady painted it so fast.
And I want to leave a quick note to "Madison's Dad". I was so excited to get your comment! I am so happy that you are enjoying keeping up with Bri, and I'm glad to hear your Chongqing spicy girl is a handful too. ;) Give Madison a big hug from me and Bri!
5 Kind Words:
Briana is such a special child. You and Doug are wonderful parents. You provide many different opportunities and activities for Briana. Unlike many of the other adoptive parents, you do not appear to over stimulate her and you don't have one planned activity after another. As you are aware, Briana's personality is unique. Briana is maturing and there are many activities she enjoys now that were more difficult for her a few months ago; such as the library. Briana may not be on the same time schedule as her peers. As you reread your blog, with time each of your fears has eased...she's talking, she follows directions better, she sits longer. Each of these events are worthy of a celebration. As long as you see progress, it's all a success. Don't over value structured activities. If Briana is not ready for structured school at 3, you are fortunate to be a SAHM, so you have options. In your heart, you love Briana as she is. Enjoy the journey-the world needs MORE Briana's!! I've been a teacher for over 30 years. I'm a good judge of a special blessing! Celebrate your bundle of joy!
Yeah. What anonymous said. Oh, and (because I am shallow) the Tongginator has that same tank top that Bri is wearing in the last video.
Great post.. great videos...
Have a great week..
YOU will know what is best for Briana..
Hugs..
Loved your videos of Briana. She and EK are so much alike. EK probably wouldn't have done the painting either. She doesn't like stickers much either. EK is so active too and I think we have precious Chongqing blessings, don't you!? Thanks for sharing!!!
Blessings!
We loved watching the videos, what fun. Our little spicy Chongqing gal watched the cat painting video over and over and over. (BTW, there is NO way Emi would have been able to sit still for that ... not at all. The gal would have gotten the head done on that cat, if that much! I was impressed that Brianna was able to!)
I am also in agreement with anon's comments. We do a lot with our gal, but not structured activities. We don't even do library time (ha, we got kicked out because she couldn't sit still and listen ... when she was 14 months! pffft). We do a lot of parks, playgrounds, road-trips, zoo time, etc ... just not playgroups, ballet classes, etc. (BTW, not that those are bad, just not our thing yet.) That time will come all too soon. We are just enjoying her and loving her. Best any parent can do, in my opinion.
Cheers!
