NYC Trip 2021 - Day 2 - American Museum Of Natural History/Part 3

It was finally time for us to leave the museum, but we did have to make one quick stop at the gift shop first...

We found the exit and headed out...

We made one last stop to take a picture in front of the museum...

On Jan 19, the Theodore Roosevelt statue which stood in front of the museum for over 80 years (and has been extremely controversial) was removed and is being moved to North Dakota.

And I completely understand why (yet I'm still glad I got to see the statue for myself before it was removed)...

The museum is located right across the street from Central Park...

It was a beautiful autumn day...

We were getting very hungry after all those hours touring the museum, so we found a spot to sit for a few minutes and grabbed some food from a couple of the food carts that were located all over the place...

This woman walked up to one in a wedding dress...

Our mid-afternoon lunch (Briana opted for chicken fingers)...

We then called an Uber to get us back to the hotel. We rested there for a couple of hours and headed out again that evening to see Rockefeller Center and 5th Avenue.

More on that next...
