Day 2, Part 5 - Vermont Vacation - Quechee Gorge

I must admit that I was getting kind of tired at this point in the day!

But, we had to stop and see the Quechee Gorge before we went back to the hotel.

The Quechee Gorge is located in Quechee, Vermont along U.S. Route 4. The gorge is 165 feet deep and is the deepest gorge in Vermont.

We parked at the little gift shop and walked over to the fences where we could view the gorge...

You can view the gorge from either side of the road...

They have large fences set up so no one will get hurt...

As you can see, they have a number of opening within the fence to you can get some unobstructed views and take pictures.

One side of the gorge...

Then the other...

It really was breathtaking...

We went to the gift shop to look around. Outside the gift shop...

Inside the gift shop...

The gorge actually flooded in July when the Northeast had all that unprecedented rain.

We were so glad we stopped, but we were quite tired and headed back.

I rested in the room while Doug and Bri headed to the study/gaming room at the hotel to chill. Bri brought her iPad to draw...

Later that evening, we just decided to order some light room service because lunch had been so filling.

We had another full day ahead of us the next day. More on that next...
