Chattanooga, Day 2 - The Nutcracker

We took it easy the morning of day 2 (the day before had been a little stressful!). Doug, Bri and I went for lunch at our favorite Chattanooga pizza place - Lupi's...

We met the M family at the Tivoli theater after lunch for a viewing of the Nutcracker...

It's a really pretty theater...

The girls were ready for the show to start...

Are you catching us on our phones before the show starts???

Below are a few shots I snagged off the internet. We were toward the back of the theater actually...

It was a good show. Bri has seen the Nutcracker twice - once we went to The Fox with Gramma in 2012 and then we saw a friend in a local production in 2013. Bri was quite young then, so she didn't quite remember it. It got a little slow for the girls in parts, but I do think they enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, we had a little girl talking and chomping on popcorn right behind us. She made noise for about 3/4 of the show until she crashed. Her mom shushed her 1000 times (nothing more), but the kid didn't listen at all. I'm not quite sure popcorn is appropriate at a ballet. I couldn't really blame the kid because she was young and her mom obviously never taught her to be quiet and polite in a theater. I turned around several times and shushed her myself but that didn't do a dang thing. Very frustrating.

(((Rant over)))

I did enjoy seeing the ballet - I like to wait a few years between viewings so I don't get tired of it.

After seeing the Nutcracker, it was time to head over to Rock City to see the Enchanted Lights.
