The restaurant is located in the Sanctuary Hotel (I didn't snap any photos of the outside of the hotel, so all outside shots are snagged from the internet)...
We had to go down a few hallways (we weren't always sure we were going the right way), but then we would run into signs saying we were heading in the right direction...
We passed a number of beautiful statues along the way to the elevator...
We went up the elevator and got to the floor where the restaurant is located.
We entered the restaurant and were astounded by how pretty it was. We were first greeted by a flowered arch (I grabbed this pic off the internet)...
And then we entered the restaurant. Beautiful flowers, lamps and greenery were covering the ceiling. It was just lovely.
It was still quite light outside when we arrived...
And then the sun started going down while we were there...

Doug said his tuna nigiri was some of the best tuna he had ever had. The matcha roll was delish and the wagyu beef roll was just ok. The edamame was very good, but like I said, it took way to long to come out...
Luckily, we weren't in a rush and we were really enjoying the ambiance, so we didn't mind waiting (too much).
It was a really nice dinner date.
We finally finished our meal and started to head back to the hotel...
Walking through Times Square...
We came across this little bakery and decided to stop in...
So many amazing sweet treats!
We purchased cupcakes and macarons (the caramel cupcake was ridiculously good!).
We brought back our treats to Bri.
We knew when we left for dinner that a concert for NYC was being put in Times Square on by the mayor. It was supposed to end at ten and featured a number of artists including Shaggy and Wyclef Jean. We knew it might be loud and we knew we just had to deal with it.
The concert started while we were at dinner - after 6 sometime I guess. Bri said it didn't bother her. The music was loud though. There was a lot of rapping/singing/yelling, loud guitars and synthesizers and thumping drums. We were able to ignore it all for quite a while, but by about 10pm, I was getting really annoyed with just how loud everything was and I was ready for it to be done. It was supposed to be over at that point and it was still going on full force...
I caught "Killing Me Softly" (Wyclef must have been performing) on video and you'll hear just how loud it all was. I was 50 stories up and it was still so loud...
Finally at 11pm, it all stopped. Thank goodness. It had been a long day and we were ready to go to bed!
The next day was our travel day. More on that next...
