Day 3 in Savannah was also great. A slight more drama-filled when it came to pool time, but still really enjoyable.
The sun was completely out on that Tuesday and the sky was beautiful. A few minutes after Briana got into the pool, a little 7 year old girl named "K" approach Bri and asked to play. The girls played for a good hour plus. They also started playing with a couple of other little girls (sisters - around 5 or 6 years old) that were at the pool as well...
I was able to relax a little bit more in my beach chair since Bri had a playmate. This little butterfly landed on my towel and didn't want to leave...
I finally had to make Briana get out of the pool for a few minutes to eat a little lunch and she obliged. She had a little rock in her hand and said that the sisters had given her the rock and she was quite excited about it.
When Bri finished lunch, K unfortunately had moved on to playing with some older kids in the pool (might have been her cousins/relations) and wasn't paying as much attention to Bri - which was upsetting Bri a bit. I decided to get into the pool with Bri because she said she wanted a "buddy." Sigh. So we were swimming around and swam up upon the sisters that Bri had been playing with earlier. Under those girls' breaths, I could here them saying that Briana was a "rock stealer." (The girls had been collecting rocks in the flower beds around the pool.) Oh good Lord. I quietly asked Briana if the rock was hers because the little girls didn't seem to think so. I know my Briana. She doesn't take things purposely. She honestly believed she could keep that rock, felt bad and started to cry. And I didn't realize it, but Bri was actually holding the little rock in her hand while she and I were swimming. I asked the girls if that rock belonged to them and I gave it back. Their father overheard our conversation and yelled at the girls and asked if they were sharing nicely. The girls immediately said nicely "We'll get her another rock!" And ran out of the pool. While they are doing that, Bri was still crying. They brought her another rock and then all was better with the world for everyone. Those sisters were being pretty mean about that rock though. They had a whole pile they had collected. And it was a stupid rock. Gimme a break. I just don't understand kids sometimes.
I love that my girl has a big heart and is caring and sensitive, but sometimes I wish she had a little thicker skin.

So between "K" dropping Briana and the mean sisters, Bri was kind of over it. We had been at the pool for about two hours, so it was time to move on anyway. A little too much 5 year old drama for my liking in one morning!
And besides, we had much more exciting things to move on to. Like a Mother/Daughter manicure/pedicure at the Heavenly Spa. And it was heavenly! It put a smile back on my gal's face...
Here she is in the waiting area...
Munching on complimentary chocolate covered raisins...
I wish I could have gotten a picture of Bri's manicure, but my hands were literally tied up! LOL!
Here she is getting her pedicure...
The finished products...
We ate a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant and went to bed a little earlier than nights past.
The moon that evening was a beautiful orange color...
Despite 20 minutes or so of little kid drama, the day was really nice.
Next day - July 4th!

4 Kind Words:
Kiddie drama is so hard to get my head around too. Why do they do it? Lily isn't very keen on one of our friends girls and it's making things difficult. If I catch her being mean....heaven help her!
Bri is so sweet I am so sorry she had to go through that.
What a good idea to get a mani-pedi together! Looks like you had a great time in Savannah!
WOW... how fun...looks like an amazing time...
love the polish..
Hugz..
I cant bear the thought of Gracie in that kind of situation.... but I known its just "kiddie drama"! At least you managed to put a :) on her face with your pampering session!
