Carnival Cruise - Day 2, Sea Day

What is nice about sea days is that there is no really strict schedule you have to follow. You don't have to worry about waking early to get off the boat. It is kind of a "do what you feel like" kind of day. The little girls wanted desperately to go to Camp Carnival. Kathy told me how much Chani loved the camp and Briana became an instant fan too. The kid are chaperoned amazingly well and there are so many activities for them to do. They hated being dragged away from camp!

The sea was very calm the first first days...

For fun, Kathy bought some decorations before boarding the ship to decorate our rooms for the girls. Kathy gave me a few of the decorations and I planned on decorating the room that afternoon (she and I went shopping in the morning),  but when I returned to the room before lunch, my sweet husband had already done it...

While the girls were at the camp, the grown ups went for a drink and some trivia...

We picked up the girls from camp to go have lunch and when we got back to the room, I had a few goodies for Miss B waiting...

The girls wanted to go swimming, so we changed them and we headed to the pool. Miss B enjoyed the balcony a bit...

The pool was so cold though! Bri and I got a bit used to it, but it was still pretty cold. When Briana started to shiver, I knew it was time to get out.

We actually needed to wrap it up anyway because we had to get dressed for the "Captain's Dinner" that evening. I knew you were supposed to dress up, but I was not expecting some of the prom dresses and tiaras I saw walking all around the ship! Wow!!

Here are me and my gal...

Meeting the captain (pic turned out a bit fuzzy)...

After we met the captain and before our dinner reservation, there were all sorts of photographers lined up along the wall to take professional pictures. We tried a bunch of them. These are some of the favorites that I purchased...

And finally we headed to dinner...

Briana consumed yet another hamburger.  :)

We checked out a really neat "Vegas-style" show after dinner. Briana thought it was a bit loud, but she really got into it after a while.

And here what was waiting for Briana when we got back to the room...

It was time to settle in for the night again. The next day - Jamaica!!!

To be continued...
