After rock climbing, we went back to the house to change into some shorts because the weather was warming up nicely that day. The breeze was beautiful, but the direct Colorado sun (with not a cloud in the sky) can make you feel a bit toasty. Then we were off to Dinosaur Ridge!
We stopped at the visitor center first (I forgot to take a pic of the outside of the visitor's center. I know, can you believe it? So this is an internet photo.)...
Once inside, Doug decided to make a friend *snort*...
And Briana decided to bring one of her favorite beanie boos along...
We grabbed a map of Dinosaur Ridge Trail and decided to hike it on our own.
Below is a view just from the parking lot - it's just beautiful everywhere...
Photo opp time with Aunt Ann...
Time to start following the trail...
Brontosaur bulges...
More hiking along the trail...
An amazing view of the plains...
Dinosaur tracks...
Me and my best gal...
Posing with the tracks...
Heading back to the car. Bri and Uncle Wes decided to make a race of it...
We were famished after all that hiking, so we stopped and ate at a quaint Latin restaurant in Morrison. Look at the beautiful patio...
Selfie time...
After eating a delicious lunch, we stopped at Red Rocks...
We had hoped to be able to look inside the stadium, but it had just closed for a rehearsal (there was a concert that evening)...
I still managed a photo opp with my gal in front of a big red rock...
Come to find out, Grace Potter was the one rehearsing...
You could hear her singing in the distance...
Before heading back to the house, we decided to make one more quick stop at the Lego store to pick out some Legos...
Ann and Wes cooked us a delicious dinner that evening and we chilled out.
The next day was another big day. We were heading over to Breckenridge for a couple of days!
