Day 1 of our Colorado trip was mainly a travel day. We decided to leave the Friday afternoon before fall break to get our vacation started a bit early. Briana didn't want to miss her vocabulary test in the morning though, so she went to school for a couple of hours, I picked her up and then we headed to the airport.
We grabbed a quick lunch at the airport...
Then we boarded the plane for a 3+ hour flight to Colorado...
One of the flight attendants gave Briana some Delta wings (pin) at the end of the flight...
We rented a car and headed to Ann and Wes's house. Ann was so sweet and picked up food for us for dinner from our favorite Golden restaurant, Tokyo Joe's. We were able to eat as soon as we arrived. It was so delish (gosh I wish we had one in GA)...
Bri obviously had never had Tokyo Joe's before, but she sure loved it when she tried it (mouth full of food)...
Wes unfortunately had to be away that evening. He had a special company launch party that he needed to attend. He was on the team that helped create this "little" guy (it's pretty amazing)...
So, we had to wait to see Wes the next morning ~ which was not a problem whatsoever.
But Bri got some awesome snuggle time that evening with Aunt Ann...
We were all so tired and we hit the sack not long after we had dinner. Between flying, driving and a two hour time difference, we were beat. But Ann and Wes had a super fun day planned for us the next day. More to come...
