Waterlogged (Excessive Swimming Post Ahead)

This past week has been the week of swimming. Lots and lots of swimming. Now Briana can never say to me, "Mama, I didn't go swimming enough this summer."

Monday, we had a swim lesson. Well, part of a swim lesson. About 10 minutes into the lesson, the skies opened up (with lightning and thunder) and the lesson was over. That was ok though because I knew we had a full week of swimming ahead of us.

Tuesday, T asked me over to her neighborhood pool. We have been wanting to get together for a few months now. I finally got to meet the simply adorable EG. M and and S were in town staying with T, and PM and LL were coming to T's to visit as well. It was such a fun afternoon! The girls had a blast diving off the diving board and swimming all afternoon! And I had a good time laughing with the grown up girls. :D Thanks so much T for having us over!

Look at these sassy, silly, adorable girls (L to R - Briana, EG, S and LL)...

Then, Wednesday evening was another swim lesson for Briana. She always loves her swim lessons, especially when there is a slice of pizza waiting for her afterward!

Thursday, Liene and Emilija came over to my neighborhood pool for some more fun in the sun. Liene had seen a picture of Bri in her polka dot swimsuit and told me Emi had the same one. So for some major cuteness, I put Bri in her polka dot suit again and the girls wore their matching suits. I love the ruffled bottom of the suit!!

Then, after soccer practice on Friday, we headed to my friend Suzanne's MIL's pool with Suzanne and Matthew for some afternoon swimming. The pool temperature was perfect and the pool was empty except for us. Very nice!!!

Above is a picture of Briana and Matthew pretending to sleep. I'm surprised they weren't really sleeping after the busy afternoon! And if you all remember, Matthew is Bri's holding hand partner. Well during class this week, two little pecks on the cheek occurred - one from Bri (Bri started it) to Matthew and then one from Matthew to Bri. Hrrrmpphhh. Doug and I had a little talk with Briana last night and told her no kissing anyone in class! (And Doug added no kissing any boys until the age of 40 - he doesn't think that is harsh at all. He also stated he was experiencing chest pains.) I know it is totally innocent, but I think I need to tone down this budding romance a bit (especially for Daddy's sake). I completely understand that Matthew is totally adorable and irresistible, so I totally get where Bri is coming from. :D I have a feeling that Briana is totally going to kill me in her teen years.

Since we are still on the subject of excessive swimming, here are a couple of videos from Briana's swim class I took a few weeks ago. I love how much the girls encourage each other during the lesson. And you will also see how much Bri loves jumping in the water.

Ok, my post is now over. You can all get out of the pool and dry off now!

Totally cute!! Look at all those bathing beauties:) You definitely had your fill of the pool this week...but I can't blame you with this kind of weather. It is the only place to be:)

Hope you have a fantastic week~

We recently spent a week in Duluth, MN, on the shores of Lake Superior.

Despite it being the coldest fresh water lake in the world, we could not keep Madison out of the water.

The spice must course through these girls' veins.
