I guess I should actually say an evening at the farm. We arrived late afternoon and stayed several hours into the evening.
The schedules between these three little ladies is quite intense. Each year, it gets harder and harder to coordinate a time on a weekend that will accommodate all three families. We did manage to get it done this year and Saturday evening worked for all of us.
The weather in Georgia has been unusually warm for October. We have been to this farm both in shorts and winter coats and we always visit in October. Go figure. So, the clothing choices were much lighter this year.
We hit the corn maze first ~ like we always do. But, Doug decided he would get in on the photo opportunity this time...
The girls ready to hit the maze...
Our annual dads and kids photo opp...
And our annual moms and kids photo opp...
We got a little turned around in the maze but it wasn't too bad. We made it out in pretty good time.
Briana and Chani wanted to hit the bouncy pillow (Maisie opted to visit the goats)...
They jumped and jumped and jumped until they got all sweaty...
Pumpkin patch photo...
Bri and Chani were looking pretty warm (lol!)...
The girls begged to do the corn maze again. The moms let the dads and kids go on their own this time. The girls were excited...
Somehow, Doug got separated from the group and came out of the maze much sooner than the rest of them (yes, he left Bri behind - snort). I swear, we all waited another 10 minutes before they appeared. They got pretty lost in there! I was really happy to see my girl come out of that corn (whew!).
Then it was time to take a hayride to the marshmallow roast...
The silos...
We arrived at the fire pits...
They were pretty toasty...
It is so pretty on the farm...
Marshmallows roasting...
One of the employees added some wood and kindling to the fire and it really went up. It was flaring...
The girls were feeling it...
But that wasn't going to stop them from roasting...
The sun started setting and the temps started cooling off nicely...
The hayride back...
The farm store...
Bri and Chani wanted a few more minutes on the jumpy pillow...
The dads looking on...
The goats are in an enclosure right next to the jumpy pillow. They started climbing up the ramps...
Bri and Chani found that fascinating...
After several hours of hanging at the farm, it was time to leave. The teenagers and young adults started to arrive for the haunted barn and it was getting pretty crowded.
We all went out to grab some dinner and then it was time to head home.
Another very successful time at the farm!

1 Kind Words:
