Disney Report 2014 - Characters

Here is my little princess. Isn't she sweet?

I had a plan on how to go about meeting a number of Disney characters on this trip without waiting in too many long lines. I had done my research. Some of the extra characters that Bri got to meet were happy added bonuses.

Our first character meeting was with Ariel in Magic Kingdom. I scheduled a Fastpass to see her in her grotto...

We stumbled upon Merida and were in the right place at the right time for a meeting. We luckily didn't wait too long to see her (she was SO awesome by the way)...

We had met many of the princesses in years past at the Akershus restaurant in Norway at Epcot. But this time, I set up reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table in Magic Kingdom. We got to see several princesses - Cinderella (of course), Snow White, Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Princess Jasmine and Ariel (with legs). We were very excited about Jasmine because we had not met her before...

We luckily stumbled across Wendy Darling near the Peter Pan ride...

When we were in Epcot, we were walking over to the China pavilion and saw Mulan in the distance. We darted over to get in line for her, but they had cut off the line and we were told she would be back in 50 minutes. So we went to the "China Reflections" movie and when we came out of it, she came back. Bri was SO excited to see her. B was even wearing a bow with Mulan on it. :)

Walking through England at Epcot, we came across Alice. That was a fun surprise...

When we went to Animal Kingdom, our mission was to find Pocahontas. She was one of the main reasons we went there. Bri wanted to meet her badly. We figured out where she stood, when she should be there and waited. Then we were told by Disney staff that she was running late. Ugh. We waited an hour for her. She was our longest wait to see a character. It was totally worth it though...

We had lunch at the Tusker House Restaurant in Animal Kingdom. There we met Goofy, Donald, Daisy and Mickey...

At our second visit to Magic Kingdom, we went during the early Magic Hour. When we walked in to the park, there was Minnie. Bri really wanted to meet and greet with her...

That afternoon, I had a Fastpass to meet Rapunzel in Fairytale Hall (she was super awesome and fun to meet too)...

The "visiting" princess at Fairytale Hall was Snow White, so we got to visit with her again...

And our last meet and greet of the vacation was at the "Be Our Guest" restaurant. We got to actually meet the beast...

We did really well meeting so many characters. And yes, I was armed with princesses dresses from home. It added to the magic. :)

On the princess front, we didn't get to see Belle or Tiana this time, but we had met them during our last trips. We didn't get to meet the fairies either, but Bri isn't the biggest fan of the Tinkerbell series anyway.

And as you all know, every little girl in the land is currently in love with the new princesses Anna and Elsa from "Frozen." They are only located in Norway at Epcot and the lines were ridiculous. I had read about it online before we went on vacation and prepared Briana that we wouldn't be going to meet them. Unless someone literally ran to Norway first thing in the morning (and we decided to ride Test Track first thing in the morning instead), there was going to be a super long wait. I heard wait times ranged from 2.5 hours to 4.5 hours. While we were waiting in the Pocahontas line, a nice family from the UK told us they waited 4.5 hours to see Anna and Elsa.

No. Thank. You.

After we got off the Maelstrom ride in Norway, we actually caught a glimpse of Elsa in the gift shop. She was running over to the meet and greet area after her break. At least we got a quick look at her...

Our character meetings were a great success. We filled one autograph book and filled half of another. Bri loved meeting each and every one. :)

we were in Disney close to when you were maybe even the same, 13-16th. Boy did we have fun. We also wanted to see the Frozen characters but with being told it was a 4 hour wait we ventured elsewhere. Love your pictures. Our 3 girls are all adopted from China, we love getting them together and being at Disney each year. Thanks for sharing.
