It was finally time to board the ship. We had priority boarding because both families had booked junior suites. Kathy and I thought that would be for the best since it was my family's very first cruise.
The girls having a drink while we checked in...
And then it was time to walk onto the ship...
Once you enter the ship, you see all the gold, color and light goodness...
We went and had lunch on the ship and then it was time check out our room...
Look what Doug had ordered for me (*sweet*)...
View from our balcony...
Doug then wanted to check out the workout center...
And we walked all around deck...
Kathy suggested we check out the welcome meeting...
Unfortunately, the girls got a bit bored with it. :)...
The girls then begged to get their swimsuits on so they could go swimming. We told them we wanted to leave port first (so we could watch the ship pull up anchor) and then they could go swimming. They kept busy by dancing around...
We waved to the other ships that were leaving too...
And then we were off. We were about a half an hour late pulling out of port (should have been at 4PM). I didn't know what to expect when we did, and I wore a patch just in case I got motion sickness. You can feel the boat moving, but the seas were calm almost our whole trip and it didn't bother me thank goodness.
Once we headed out, the ladies went to sign the girls up for Camp Carnival and the guys took the little ones swimming.
We met the guys and the kids for at dinner at 6PM in the Pacific Dining Room...
Briana chowed down on a huge hamburger...
We had some pics taken...
After a yummy dinner, we walked around a bit more...
When we got back to our room, there was a little surprise...
It was such a busy day, we let Bri wind down with a movie on her iPad...
We all went to sleep quickly from the exciting day.
To be continued...

5 Kind Words:
Fun...you are getting me so excited for our first cruise! The girls are so cute.
LOVE!
I've been on two Royal Caribbean cruises and while the ships look similar, yours appears to be newer. My OCD and social anxiety having hubby has now sworn off cuises FOREVER so I guess I'm going to have to go on a girls DISNEY cruise some day with the little ones. HOW MUCH FUN WOULD THAT BE?!?!
Thanks for the email, its great to read your thoughts on cruising!!!
Briana looks so excited in the pics :)
Such fun! We really enjoy cruising with our family. Its such an easy vacation. We did the Disney Dream over Thanksgiving and it was a blast! Can't wait for the rest of your recap.
It's fun to see what order you did things and how your cruise began. I have a surprise Disney cruise booked for Hannah and I next February - can't wait!
Love that you were able to go with friends!
