The Chanler at night is so incredibly beautiful. It was slightly chilly the evening of our 4th day, but nothing like the 1st night we arrived. We sat in chairs and just looked at the water. You can see flower petals on the ground from the wedding that took place there earlier in the day...
As Doug and I were sitting there, he said to me "What is that red thing in the distance?" It was just starting to come up out of the water and so very faint.
Then it got brighter and we realized it was the moon...
It was so red at first and then it turned orange...
Eventually it turned white...
And there were a few clouds in the sky, so it looked so pretty when it went behind those...
What an unexpected treat.
We sat there at least an hour watching it and then we headed in. The reception area was pretty at night...
Back in our room, we were feeling a bit chilled. The fireplace was a perfect ending to a great day...
We only had one full day left in Rhode Island, and it ended up being another really great day.
