We headed toward Rockefeller Center...
We walked past Radio City Music Hall and the Avenue of the Americas Fountain to get there - it's so pretty at (almost) Christmastime...
We arrived at Rockefeller Center...
The tree was there, but it was hidden behind a sign and scaffolding.
(We did see the tree lit when we visited NYC in 2019.)
It was pretty crowded around there anyway.
St. Patrick's Cathedral...
We then decided to walk down 5th avenue.
There were signs that Christmas was coming...
Briana LOVED walking down 5th Avenue.
We stopped at the Lindt store (and yes we did buy chocolate!)...
The store is temporarily closed right now due to the Covid surge. I'm so glad we were there before this nasty surge hit.
It was getting close to 7PM and we didn't realize all the upscale stores closed at 7. We weren't able to go in any of them, but we did look in the windows. Briana has already requested to go back so we can enter the stores.
Cartier...
Bri especially loved the Saks 5th Avenue windows...
Doug went online and ordered Miss Thing the jacket for Christmas...
And I got the purse I admired...
Very exciting Christmas surprises!
So, it looks like a shopping trip in NYC will happen sometime in the future. Maybe a 16th birthday trip? We'll see.
We had eaten a pretty late lunch that day at the food carts, so we decided to just grab a few slices of cheesecake from Juniors to take back to the hotel for dessert...
We had a long, full, wonderful day.
The next day was going to be the BIG day though. Broadway day!!!

Isn't D so thoughtful?
