Two days after Christmas, Doug, Bri and I headed to Nashville for a few days. It was kind of a spur of the moment trip. Doug needed a couple of more stays at a particular hotel chain to keep his status level, so we thought, why not Nashville? Doug had been to Nashville before, but Bri and I had not. The drive there took several hours.
Doug had read about this cute little place in Nashville that served hot dogs out of a VW bus. How cool is that? One day one of our trip, we landed in Nashville right at lunchtime. We headed to the hippie eclectic part of Nashville.
The little hot dog place is called "I Dream Of Weenie" and it's hilarious...
Disco ball on the roof...
It is literally a little shack, so the sitting area is outside. Lucky for us, the weather in the southeast had been warm. Like 75 degrees Fahrenheit on Christmas Day warm. That day in Nashville was quite warm, so sitting outside in December wasn't even an issue. Crazy...
The hot dogs were quite good...
Across the street from the hot dog stand was another really cool shop that served ice cream...
One side of the building was the ice cream shop and the other was a gift shop...
They had a Magnum P.I. clock hanging on the wall. I never even knew I wanted one of those...
Still a little Christmas cheer...
A Bill Murray shower curtain. I didn't know I wanted one of those either...
Look at these funny flavor names...
After eating and a little shopping, we headed to our hotel...
The lobby was so pretty...
Our room wasn't quite ready and since we were on the club level, we were escorted to the club lounge while we waited for our room...
The club lounge was empty and really nice.
We were finally given a room and we chilled for a little while...
Bri was really excited because they had an indoor pool. Swimming in December is awesome! The water was a bit chilly, but it was still fun...
Bri absolutely loved it.
We ordered room service for dinner and relaxed the rest of the evening. We had a full day planned for the next day.
