Trip To Huntsville - Burritt House

Big Smiles
It was early afternoon when we finished at the Space Center, so Stacy suggested we visit the Burritt House atop Round-Top Mountain which was just minutes from the Space Center. I am so glad we did. The grounds of this beautiful home were just breathtaking. It was pretty warm in Huntsville that day, but as we made our way around the grounds, there was a lot of cloud cover. It made the walk so much more bearable. There were beautiful little wooden homes and barns as well as farms animals. There was also an amazing view of Huntsville from up there. It really made for some pretty pictures (I only had my point and shoot camera with me on the trip, but I sure wish I had my T1i when I got here)! Enjoy!

And this is Briana with her new pal Wolfie, a gorgeous Weimaraner. After visiting two museums, we figured we'd go back to Buddy and Stacy's house for some rest. Well, Briana was too excited to rest with her new pal Wolfie chasing after her. They had a blast together!

Briana and Wolfie
Briana was so tired after the super exciting day. She fell asleep in the car on the way to dinner and slept all through dinner in the booth (we ate at a delicious German restaurant). Bri has not done that since she was a baby! It was actually kind of nice because the adults got to talk for a long time without 4 year old interruption. :) Briana woke up as soon as we got back to our hotel and wasn't able to get back to sleep until midnight. Yikes! I love my hubby because I was so tired and I fell asleep after a long day and he helped Bri finally get to sleep that night.

It was a wonderful trip, and I have to thank Stacy and Buddy so much for a perfect Saturday!

What a great trip and so close to home that it's something that you can easily do again or more of. Looking forward to seeing you.
