You might remember that Briana took swim lessons last summer and she totally got over her fear of putting her head under water. Last year, she took her swim lessons with a group of little friends. But this year, I decided to sign Bri up for private lessons. Mainly because of our swim scare this year. But another reason was because I found out that Bri's gymnastics coach also gives private swim lessons. And I really believe Briana will benefit from one on one teaching. How awesome is that?! Bri loves her gymnastics coach, so who better than to teach her to swim too? But I will really miss hanging out with the swim group mamas' because that was so much fun last summer.
Here are some photos and a short video of Bri's first lesson. She worked on breathing, kicking her legs, floating and swimming under water...
5 Kind Words:
I only learned how to swim 2 years ago from my MIL (ex PE teacher) and just before we went on our first cruise. (it seemed dreadful to go on a big ship and not be able to swim!) I want Gracie to learn asap as I have always regretted the pool fun i missed out on! D
Sounds like a great plan. I was thinking of it for H. but we will be heading back to Scotland for the summer where it is just too expensive. Great skill for them though. And Briana looks too cute as ever!
She's going to be a little fish in no time. In my experience, swimming is one skill that is best learned when taught one on one!
Great job Bri!!!
