Pioneer Days Festival - Year 5

Sunday evening, Bri, Doug and I went on our annual outing to the Pioneer Days Festival with our close friends Khalid, Ansu and Kira.

The temp was pretty warm in the full sun when we first arrived, but there was a slight breeze. The sun started hiding behind the clouds and then when it went completely down - the weather was beautiful then.

Kira didn't know we were going to the fair (it was a surprise) and when we arrived, she shouted a big "Yeehaw!!"

We bought our tickets and then it was straight onto the rides. The girls started with the tame rides - it wasn't until later in the evening that Bri started hitting the hard core stuff. :)

 Then it was time to kick it up a notch. Doug, Bri, Kira and Ansu hit this one - the pirate ship (Sea Ray). Kira did well until the swinging got to its highest point and then she was ready to get off. But she hung in there...

Then Ansu took Bri on this one below too. Thank goodness for her because I don't like any of these rides!!!

Then Doug took her on the Himalaya ride...

Then a rubber duck game (that is a sure thing to get a blow up toy prize)...

Briana wanted to do this one, unfortunately it was getting late, crowded and we ran out of time. Shucky darn...

One last stop, Hawaiian ice time...

The girls had a total blast and the parents always love watching their faces light up. It is our last weekend of summer tradition. Can't wait for next year!
