First snowflakes on Wednesday...

Briana dancing in the snow and saying "Hi Daddy"...
Before Doug's birthday and all the snow, you all know that Doug had a kidney stone. After the hospital visit, he felt no more pain, so we thought he passed it. Well, after a few X-rays and a CT scan, we found out that he had a 6 to 7 mm stone. OUCH. No way he was going to pass it on his own. Doug talked to the doctor and told him he was going to CES in Vegas, and the doctor said to go ahead and go. The stone was stuck and hadn't really given him any problems since the first attack. So the doctor gave him pain pills just in case and said to have surgery when he got back. Well, the last day in Vegas - Doug had an attack. It was pretty bad. Luckily, the pain stopped so Doug could fly home. Doug did have a few fun days in Vegas and even blogged for NBC Universal - here is a link. Very cool! So the day after Doug's birthday, he had the stone removed. Thank goodness. Of course, Briana and I both got nasty colds that day. Lovely...
Even though Doug had to think about surgery the next day, he had a nice and quiet birthday celebration with me and Bri. I got him a number of gifts, including "Dancing With The Stars" game for the Wii. Oh my gosh, that is fun! You look like a complete idiot doing it, but it is so funny! Briana loved watching mommy and daddy make fools of themselves.

13 Kind Words:
Briana is ADORABLE in her coat!!! Your Georgia folks sure are having some strange weather.
I'm glad Doug is better. Sorry to hear it hit him in Vegas. I guess what happens if Vegas DOESN'T always stay in Vegas. LOL
Hugs!!!
Yikes for the snow in Georgia!
Sounds like Doug is on the road to recovery! Love his dancing form as well!

Have a Great Week..
Weird - my sister just had suregry this weekend from a kidney stone that appeared on Friday - also 7mm!! I had one years ago, and it was smaller so I had to pass it - which took 3 months under a urolgist's care! Poor Doug. I know they are about the most painful thing on earth. :( My sister actually has a kidney infection, so they can't get rid of her stone until that is cleared up. Ugh. I feel for her. Anyways, just weird that your post was about this, as it has been a topic of convo around my family all weekend! Tell Doug I said I hope he is feeling 100% now, or very soon!
Snow in Atlanta? We had snow flurries in Daytona Beach a couple of weeks ago...You're doing great dancing with the Stars!
Hugs,
Micha
