Mid-Autumn Moon Festival Festivities

The Autumn Moon Festival officially starts today, but we have been celebrating all weekend!

Friday night, our local FCC (FCCA) held a picnic that included dance and music performances, craft making and a lantern walk. It was so fun to get together with other local adoptive families to celebrate this special occasion!

This kids (and parents) munched on sandwiches and chips, made lanterns, played ball, ran around and danced and enjoyed the lantern walk. Briana enjoyed hanging with friends Mary Lin, Garrett, Imerie, Ella and new friend Michaela. We also ran into friend Donna and her family. It was so good catching up with her!

The picture below is of ML and she is not happy about her brother chasing her... :D

Then on Saturday morning, Briana and I worked on our annual moon cookies. We added some powdered sugar on top this year. And as you can see, Bri was more than pleased...

What a wonderful weekend of celebration! Those cookies look yummy!

Adorable outfit Briana is wearing. I didn't buy any of that style but after seeing how cute she looks it makes me wish I had!

Yummy idea for moon cake cookies. We're going to a friend's place for supper tomorrow night to celebrate Mid-Autumn Moon Festival. Cookies may be on the 'to do' list for fun tonight!
