I Think I Am Ready

Well, here it is! The luggage...

There is no way I can go carry on only - no way! But, I am checking only one extra large rolling duffel bag, so I think I have done pretty well in the packing department. I seriously have packed and repacked these cases several times, just trying to get it right. Each time I took something out that I figured that I could probably just get in China.

Ok - I only have 4 days to go until I am China bound!

Last night, I met Kathy, Mick and Georgia for a "girls only" dinner at Los Reyes Mexican restaurant. After 4 and a half hours of laughs, gossip and cheese dip, we finally headed out! Thank you girls for meeting me for dinner - I really wanted to see all of you before I took off for China. And an extra thanks for Mick for driving so far in the rain to meet us and for the absolutely amazing music CD she made me for China (you had me cryin' girl)!

I am also gearing up for this Saturday...

Woohoo!!! I can't wait to meet my bloggy buds this weekend at Melissa's!

I'm so jealous that I can't come and meet you gals this weekend--have a great time. I'll be anxiously following you during your time in Chongqing--I can't believe our babies are so close in age and from the same SWI! I'm a month behind you, so I'll be taking careful notes (we travel in Sep)
God bless!

YOu've done really well!!! From my Asian travels, the only things I've not been able to find are "feminine hygene" products (well the ones I like, anyway... sorry blokes!) and medicine (which you can get there, obviously! but it's all written in another language... obviously!!!)

I plan on buying toiletries, tissues etc, all when I get there.

Have a FANTASTIC weekend! (as if I need to say that?!!!)

The time has actually come for you to pack your bags and you actually have the tickets to put them on the plane. How exciting! It really is happening and you are on your way to getting Briana and finally becoming a mom, but you already knew that.
I wish you a fun, safe trip and will miss you while you are gone.
Hurry home.

I love following all the China adoption community blogs as I'm waiting for my own adoption. Following along with you guys helps with the waiting.

Thanks for sharing, and best wishes for you as you become a forever family in a few days time.

I'm so excited for you guys!!! Don't worry about packing a lot - you can get anything you need in Guanzhou - even medications left behind from parents that were just there. So go empty and come back with arms full! You will LOVE China! Have a great time! Can't wait to see the photos - please take LOTS of photos! I took over 800 and wish I'd taken more
