Yes, Miss B did! I honestly thought it wouldn't happen. Not anytime soon anyway. Bri has told me for months that she was afraid it was going to hurt and didn't want to do it. I was just fine with that. But then last Saturday, Briana saw that her friend Chani had gotten her ears pierced and it changed everything. My mom, Bri and I headed to the mall for a "girl's shopping day." After a few hours at the mall, I asked Briana in passing if she wanted to get her ears pierced like Chani. She said yes! I called Doug and asked him what he thought. He said he didn't mind, so we went for it. Briana was sooo brave. She picked out the earrings she wanted, sat still and didn't cry or even flinch when they stuck her ears. She smiled when it was over and got a lollipop. That was it! So painless! Except mommy was trying not to faint during the procedure. :D
Here she is as the girls double teamed her. It was a great way to get the ears pierced...

And here she is calling daddy when it was all over...

The lollipop...

Here she is! Miss B with earrings. (Her ears were still red here. They look just fine now!)

Before all the ear piercing drama, Briana sneaked some snuggles from Gramma and Mommy at lunch...

Showed off the silly bands mama got her (yeah - Maisie introduced her to those - LOL!)...

And we rode the little train in the mall. Here are our tickets...

What a fun mall day! I'm so proud of my girl. She is so amazing! My pride and joy!!!
14 Kind Words:
that's too sweet!
What a brave and beautiful girl! We kid around with EK every time we go to the mall to see if she wants to get her ears pierced and she always says, "NO!" Maybe someday she will decide she wants them.
Blessings!
Hooray for Briana!!! What a special little girl moment!!
Another rite of passage. And what a brave little sweetie Briana is. Been through it twice - can't really say the same, I'm afraid.
Have a great week-end!
Those are great pictures - how fun to have a girls day at the mall and do it on a whim! And by the way, her shoes rule! Love the earrings she picked out. I know the dram first-hand as we went through it all tonight! Charlotte was quite brave, too. Our girls are awesome!
Hannah's been asking for the same, so I was glad to hear from you it doesn't seem to hurt. Maybe I shouldn't insist she waits until she's 21 after all :)
Very cool!
Way to go Briana..
Love her little shirt and her shoes..
Looks like she did sooo well.
Have a great weekend..
Yay Bri! She looks darling!
Here girls ears are pierced as early as newborn (I left the hospital with my little earrings!), but due to her horrible reflux I waited to get our baby girl's ears pierced... Finally caved when she was about 8 weeks, I was so tired of hearing "what a cute little boy!"
:-)
Such a big, brave girl. Congratulations Briana on your new adventure! Way to go!
What a big girl she was~ when Bella got hers done it was all drama. Truly I thought we were going to have to leave one done and one undone.
You have one precious girl there my friend!
