The Saturday before last, Briana received the Sacrament of Reconciliation/Penance for the first time. First Reconciliation is a sacred ceremony in the Catholic church.

Briana had been preparing for it for a few months now. She needed to confess her sins to the priest. As a 7 year old, her sins are not very complex, but she still needed to confess them.
She was a bit nervous, but she did great...
Some kids talked to the priest for a while. Bri was done in about three minutes. Heh. She is not a big talker when she is nervous or in an intimidating situation, so she was in and out.
She was given 5 Hail Marys and she said her Penance...
She was very glad it was over. She had been quite nervous about it.
I am proud of her. It was kind of a scary thing to do even though we tried to reassure her that it was not going to be scary and that everything would be fine.
The next sacrament that will happen for Briana will be First Communion.
