These pretty flowers came from my sweet hubby the day before my birthday. He is such a great guy. That same night, he and Briana made me cupcakes to have for my special day.
The morning of my birthday, I walked downstairs to this lovely surprise...

I opened my cards that morning and I got an extra special one signed by Briana...

Doug, Briana and I, as well as my parents, headed over to my sister's house on my b-day for a birthday/Father's Day combo. My sister's birthday is a few days before mine. We had a delicious lunch and the dads opened their gifts first. Here is Papa opening his special card from Briana...

Here is a mug that Briana made Papa at the pottery painting place...

Bri's gettin' wild and crazy here...

My parents bought my sister and me this beautiful cake and then we opened some gifts...

My sweet girl during the festivities...

We got home in the late afternoon and headed out for an amazing dinner at one of my favorite restaurants. After dinner, I blew out a candle on one of my cupcakes made with love...

The next day was Father's Day. Doug slept in and I started making him a surprise. Star W@rs pancakes. Oh yes I did...

Briana chomping on Yoda...

I think this was my best one - a storm trooper...

Before Bri got out of school, her teacher had her and her classmates make Father's Day cards and gifts for the daddies...

I find it amazing that Doug's favorite thing to do is play with Briana. If you remember, that was my
favorite thing to do too... ;)

Briana and I also made Doug something at the pottery painting place a few weeks ago. She painted a dolphin for him. She said she picked the dolphin because we saw dolphins on our vacation to Hilton Head...

Doug's only request that day (besides sleeping in) was to see "T@y St@ry 3." Here is Briana all ready to go to the show...

The movie was fantastic. I didn't realize I was going to sob through the last 15 minutes of it. I have a feeling almost everyone in the theater was doing the same thing.
So there is my recap. It was a bit long. Thanks for hanging in there. :)
5 Kind Words:
Sounds like you had an awesome birthday! Happy Birthday!!! I thought I wished you a HB on facebook but I forget. Age I guess! LOL
Love the Yoda pancake idea!!!
I haven't taken Sugar to the theater yet...I was wondering if she could handle the dark parts of the Toy Story. How did Bri do?
Ps. Awesome pic of you!! Your so pretty.
I love your enthusiasm and gratitude! Your "love" is mutual and it's so amazing to watch you give and to receive! You and Doug could write the book! And Briana rounds out the perfect package!
