Fun At The Fair

Like the picture above of my two knuckleheads? They are so crazy together.

We surprised Briana with a trip to the North GA Fair on Friday night. What a way to begin Autumn Moon Festival weekend - with a fair! Many of you will remember the trip we took to the fair last year. Briana got to ride a lot more this year because she is taller than the 36 inch requirement for many of the rides. Unfortunately, the family-friendly Ferris wheel we rode (and loved) last year was not at the park this year. We were so bummed. (Wish we had known that before we bought a lot of extra ride tickets - the Ferris wheel required 5 or 6 tickets per person). Let's just say we stayed a lot longer at the fair and Briana spun herself crazy on a lot more kid rides than last year. The only Ferris wheel at the fair this year had a 42" height requirement. That was the only time Briana cried at the fair Friday night - when she was told she could not ride the Ferris wheel. She perked up as soon as we stuck her on the kid-sized roller coaster though.

There are a lot of pictures ahead, so be warned!

This is the reaction we got when Briana saw the fair in the distance...

We asked her to give us a thumbs up in this picture. We got a pointer finger. Good enough.

Briana taking to the sky!

This is a fun ride!

Suiting up for the bungee!

Let's rock.

I didn't say she always looked graceful on it.

But she did have a blast. And I didn't ask her to put the sunglasses on, she requested them. Total diva.

Me and my gal.

Face painting!

Her favorite ride.

Cute smile.

Briana and Mommy.

Sharing a funnel cake.

Looking at the Ferris wheel we wish we could have ridden.

Roller coaster rides always make me feel better.

I'm a motorcycle mama.

Briana and Daddy.

Briana loving on the purple unicorn Daddy won for her by popping balloons with darts.

Goodbye State Fair...and Ferris wheel we couldn't ride. Let's hope we meet height requirements next year.

Enjoy Briana bungee jumping. Last year, she needed help. This year she could do it on her own!

Man, she is awesome! We could not get ours to do any of those rides, she would get on them and then freak out!! You should go the first Sat of the fair, all thr rides are free for the first hour, that was nice for us, since ours didn't want to ride anything once she was on them!!!

Oh Lisa! She's growing up to be a big girl...going on rides at the fair! I can't wait to share that with my babies, but on the other hand...part of me wants to scoop them up and call a "freeze" for God to hear.

So cute!

You truly have a beautiful family and daughter. I found your blog through another adoption blog. We adopted our daughter from China in January of this year. I love your blog.

Many Blessings,
