Briana has been just been so stinkin' cute and funny this week. She is a hoot, I tell ya. I can't even get through a photo op without laughing because she is always doing something.She danced all through her photo session with me before picture day at school...
She found a duck bath towel that I bought consignment for her years ago and decided to walk around the house in it for about an hour or so...
Daddy and I took her for a trip to the HD. I swear she could live in that place. She is so excited to pass by the pumpkins and fall decorations and of course Christmas decorations that are out already now too...
Even eating a sub sandwich for lunch with me makes me smile...
Here are my three peeps watching a Halloween cartoon together. My kitty never stays this close to Briana, but there was a warm blanket she felt the need to get in on...
Briana was groggy waking up one morning, so I stuck her in my bed with her favorite blanket...
And I of course I laugh when she wears two different shoes and socks for funny feet day at school...
She really is "Little Miss Sunshine."

Bravo to you and Doug! Of all the blogs I follow, you two seem to be enjoying the journey the most. You truly understand that chilhood is not a race! You encourage Briana to enjoy the fun In every day activities. Yes, she has her share of stimulation, but not this frantic frenzy of one planned activity after another. Other adoptive parents can learn by your example. I understand your struggle to have a child and I know that in some cases it may be the only child. But for the child's sake, they need to grow up with a healthy balance. Briana is happy, because you and Doug have realistic expectations. With you love and guidace, you're allowing her to become her own person. There's no greater gift any parent can give their child.
