I have to say, going to the Lady G@ga concert a few weeks ago was quite an experience! There was a mix of all kinds of people there. Some were dressed up like it was Halloween. Some people literally had no shame - LOL!
Now, I really enjoy Lady G@ga's music. Bri, on the other hand, does not really listen to her music. To me, LG is most definitely an adult artist. I did see a few children at this concert (not toddlers or preschoolers of course - but maybe some younger than 10). There definitely was some adult content filtered throughout it (bad language, skimpy costumes, some provocative dancing. And I won't even get into how provocative the opening act was. They were quite an interesting band - ahem.). I was quite surprised that there were parents there that thought it was ok to bring their kids to this concert. To each his own, I guess.
I can say that the concert was simply amazing. LG is one heck of a performer and sings every note herself. She even made a point to say she doesn't lip sync at all in her concerts and she would never make anyone pay money to see her lip sync to her own songs (take THAT - Br!tney Spe@rs!). (LG did take the stage about an hour late and that ticked me off a bit, but luckily she ended up being worth the wait.)
Here are some of the eccentric people that attended...
Pretty funny stuff, huh? And here we are - looking all normal...
Our friends, Mark and Alison...
And for those that like Gaga's music, here are some short videos from the concert for your viewing pleasure...
4 Kind Words:
Crikey Lisa...cannot believe people would dress up like that!! I have a LOVE/HATE relationship with GaGa, but she has an amazing voice and an even more amazing body!
Awesome, awesome, awesome! Loved ALL of this. Love the guys in drag the best. Loved the videos! I did tell you that Becky lives right near Gaga's mom and told me she sees her all the time. Apparently like mother like daughter, b/c mom has some odd ways of dressing as well.
Gaga is a fabulous performer and a very talented woman. Lily does Zumba to a lot of her stuff....I believe Bad Romance is her favorite.
Looks like you had a fun night! I went back and forth on whether or not to let Eriks listen to her music but I decided to allow him to listen to some of it. My decision is based on the fact that he loves to dance along to it and he does sing some of the lyrics but he doesn't even think twice about what they mean. He doesn't bother analyzing them.
Wow, what a awesome show! I have never seen her in concert and hope to one day. Funny, I just started listening to her music about a year ago - heard a song on the radio and really liked it, then I saw her on Ellen - liked her from that point. Wild and crazy music, but awesome VOICE!
