As soon as I got back from FL, we dove head first into summer vacation mode. We've had a nice mix of fun days and lazy days. Bri doesn't start her first camp until next week, so it has been fun finding things to do with her. Briana loves to sleep late in the summer. She likes to wake up anywhere between 8:30 and 10AM. :)
We invited ML over for a play date on Memorial Day weekend (Sunday) and then we had nice dinner with the B family...
On Memorial Day, it was a great day to run in the sprinkler, blow bubbles and grill out (Doug is the grill master)...
I had Bri wash my dirty rockers for me... :)
On Tuesday of last week, Bri and I tried out the neighborhood pool. It has been a bit muggy in GA, but surprisingly, it hasn't been super hot yet. On that day, the temp was only in the low 80's, so the pool water was freezing. We stayed for two hours, but only because I made B (and myself) take warm up breaks. We haven't been back to the pool yet. It is supposed to be in the upper 80's later this week, so we will try it again then...
On Thursday, I took Bri out to a girls' lunch at Stevie B's and then shopping at Justice (she had some gift money she wanted to spend)...
Friday, we met E and her mom L at one of the playgrounds in our neighborhood...
Friday evening, Bri was invited to a party for her school friend L ~ a Build A Bear party...
We went to sweet K's Frozen-themed birthday party on Saturday afternoon...
Monday, Briana and I saw "Maleficent" in the Xtreme theater (Bri loved the cool ceiling)...
Yesterday, we brought Bri's friend T to lunch at Chick Fil A and then the girls played all afternoon at my house...
And finally last night, we had a nice dinner with friends A and ML...
Whew. We have been busy. Bri's art camp starts next week - B's gonna love that!
