I went to a nearby park with Angela and Laney & Amy and Mary a couple of weeks ago. There was a baseball field and a playground, and I brought a few balls for the girls to kick around. I was pretty impressed with how good Briana was at kicking the ball. Maybe I have a future soccer player???

The girls loved running around the bases. Maybe I have a softball star???
I don't have a swim star just yet. I took Briana to a free swim class at a nearby swim school. I was less than impressed with them. Briana got about 5 minutes of attention in a 30 minute lesson. Briana hates getting water in her eyes and she doesn't want to stick her head in the water because of that. I think I need to buy her some little goggles. I am considering possible private swim lessons for her future - if I can get her head under water.
Well, I know I definitely have an eating star. After the lesson, Doug, Bri and I went to a little diner for lunch. Bri was so hungry. When this girl is hungry, watch out. I am glad I still have my fingers.
Well, I am not in a major rush to find another activity. I'm just mulling it over. I'll see how she does at dance camp. And I am sure we will be spending lots of time at the swimming pool. It is getting so hot in GA now, I know we are going to need to cool off! Happy Summer everyone!

7 Kind Words:
Sounds like Briana is doing sooo well..
Love the photos.
You will find the right activity for her.. my fabric I ordered for the quilts is suppose to arrive today.. so hopefully I will get the wishes done this weekend.. and in the mail by next week.
Hugs..
Have a great weekend..
Yeah, you can rush kids into things before they're ready. It took us years before we found out that horseback riding was Emma's things (this was after flirtations with ballet, gymnastics, soccer, etc.) Briana will find her thing soon, I bet!
Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I always love hearing from you~
Had to come over and get my Briana fix~ she always makes me smile!
Have a wonderful night my friend.
So happy to hear that she is still loving her gymnastics....and it does look like she might have softball in her future:)
I am sure you will settle on something......we are looking at Dance class for fall and/or soccer tots......it is really a great program for the kids. My nephew takes a class and I know Sarah will love it!!
Stay cool my southern friend!
Lisa
Dance class is so much fun! We ended up with a few acquaintences in the same class so now Sat mornings are coffee klatches! I look forward to them!
I wish I had the opportunity to add gymnastics to Kelsey's routine - especially this summer when I have nothing lined up yet.
I don't know where you took Briana for a lesson but I've heard the Y in Kennesaw has some pretty good swim lessons. I need to get Eriks back into it. He can swim underwater (at least he could last summer) but there's so much more he needs to learn to do.
I have no idea what I'm going to do besides keep Eriks busy with karate. We didn't sign him up for summer session at GAA. Granted shortly I'm going to have my hands full keeping 2 children occupied...
I love the pictures as always.
Briana will do just fine with her swimming. Sam, learned at 5 and loves it. I love the pictures of Briana on the side of your blog.
Oh and thanks so much for the wish and square for Emma's quilt. I put it up on our blog. It came in yesterday!! I will began next week I hope?
