It was another year of fun at the nearby family farm. On Sunday, it was time to run through the corn maze, feed the farm animals and go on a hayride. The girls had a blast. It was a beautiful, cool fall day.
We were greeted by cobwebs and spiders...
We weren't there even five minutes before the girls started running around...
Obligatory photo posing before entering the farm...
The corn maze was the first stop - just like in years past...
The daddies and girls on the bridge shot...
We actually got through the maze quickly this year. No getting lost this time!
Here are the girls posing with Kathy's foreign exchange student Elene...
A quick stop in the pumpkin patch...
Only Chani and Maisie rode ponies this year. Briana gave a little attitude because she wanted to ride the horse Chani had already chosen. I told her she wasn't going to ride if she didn't choose another horse. So, she opted not to ride. There was no fuss really - no crying or sulking. She just didn't ride.
So, Mr. Eammon lifted her so she could watch...
I think I have a feeling why she didn't ride. The horse Chani rode was the biggest one. And Bri didn't want to ride a smaller horse. With riding really big horses on her own for a whole year, riding a small horse was just not going to make her happy.
We all did end up laughing pretty hard though because Chani's horse was having some stomach and digestive issues and poor Maisie was in the wrong place for that...
After the horse ride (or lack thereof for Bri), the jumpy pillow was calling...
Bri actually said she was tired after all that jumping...
Then all the girls said they were tired...
It was then time for the traditional mommies and little girls photo shoot...
We took a short snack break and I got a couple of pics with my favorite girl...
Then it was time for the farm tour...
The girls fed some of the animals...
Then they watched the milking demonstration...
I wondered where the men went off to and I glanced over during the demonstration and saw all of the guys on their phones. It was pretty funny...
Time for the tractor hayride...
After the hayride, Bri and Chani darted off to the pumpkin patch again...
And then those stinkers tried to hide from us...
And came up making scary faces...
Now for a few nice photos...
After the farm, we went to eat some lunch. The girls love to eat at a nearby Chinese/Japanese/Thai restaurant...
All the girls got lollipops after lunch, and Maisie and Briana decided to lollipop stick fight...
Once lunch was over, we headed home. Doug, Bri and I were all beat.
Once Briana went down for bed last night, she fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. And mine pretty much did the same!

2 Kind Words:
