Time seems to be flying by lately. Bri is such a young lady now. Sigh.
Doug was out of town last weekend (Thursday, Friday and Saturday), so Bri and I had some girl time. She loves Sweet Tomatoes, so we went there for dinner ~ she was my date that Friday evening.
She was all smiles as she sprinkled extra cheese on her already very cheesy mac n cheese...
Friday night, Bri and I had a "girls sleepover" in my bedroom. We like to do that sometimes when dad goes out of town. Mei Mei had some snuggle time too...
Saturday morning, we got up and headed to Cousin N1s 7th birthday bowling party...
Bowling...
Playing at the arcade with N1...
Chasing around Cousin N2...
Look at all the crap goodies Miss B acquired. She won the bunny out of a crane machine and the rest was bought with points...
My hubby was out of town in Maine that weekend (came home Sat evening). And look what he did for me...
He brought me home a lobster roll all the way from Portland. He had it packed special in a thermal bag and everything for me. How sweet is that?
The week started back up and Bri was back in school of course. She is doing really great. She hasn't fussed at all about doing homework (since that rough afternoon on the first day of school). She comes home, sits down and does it. Just gets it out of the way. Again, she looks so grown up to me...
Miss Mei Mei got her teeth cleaned on Thursday (to prevent gum disease - gums were looking pretty rough) and she also had a urinalysis (because of some unusual numbers in her blood work)...
I hated having to drop her off at the vet and leave her there. She lived in a cage for so long ~ I hate to stress her out again. She doesn't understand what is going on. I was so happy to pick her up and get her back home with me that evening.
The good news is her urine sample came back all clear. Kidneys are in great condition. Teeth look good too, though they are going to monitor two of them. She's got the all clear. No vet visit again until next year for vaccines.

Finally, Friday came around and Bri was super happy about the long weekend coming up...
Bri was wearing the headband and bow that my friend Kathy made for her.
And speaking of Kathy, we had a coffee date Friday morning to do some catch up. It had been too long.
So now it is Saturday again. Labor Day weekend. We only have one scheduled activity this weekend and we are really happy about it. Soccer games start next weekend. Miss B has been practicing hard, so wish her luck next weekend for her first academy game!
Hope you all have a great labor day weekend!
