1st Day Of 5th Grade

How did this happen? Briana started 5th grade today.

Didn't she just look like this?

This was B in kindergarten. She was the baby of the school. It feels like yesterday.

Now she is in her last year of elementary school. I don't know how time went so quickly...

On Thursday, we attended the school open house. Briana decided to "loop" with her 4th grade homeroom/math/science teacher who decided she wanted to move up to 5th grade. Bri did great with her in 4th, so Bri wanted to stay with her in 5th.

The school just finished building a brand new two story building behind the original main building (it took two years to build) and Bri's homeroom is in it, as well as her English/SS classroom, Venture classroom and cafeteria. The new building is huge and houses 4 computer labs...

The school also installed a brand new playground. Bri was in heaven...

 This morning, Bri was all dressed in a new outfit and had her new backpack and lunchbox. She spotted the panda set when we visited the zoo back in March (you all know she is panda obsessed loves pandas). I looked online and found it a bit cheaper and surprised her with it right before school started. She was over the moon...

The flood of parents going into the school on the first day was pretty chaotic. Very glad we went early...

Bri found her classroom in the new two story building with no issues at all...

She had a great day. She really likes her new English/Social Studies teacher. Her classroom bestie is in her class again. I think she is going to have a great year - fingers crossed!
