With permission from Miss B, I am going to give a little school update. I haven't done one since September, and I think it is time.
First, here are a few pics of my best gal. She's growing up so fast...
Bri got her school picture taken a few months ago - this one will be in the yearbook...
My girls LOVES to read. She devours books. I was so happy she was recognized at school for all the reading she does...
Ugh - they spelled her name with 2 "n's." Happens all the time.
Reading champions - Bri is on the top row toward the middle...
Bri is still continuing with her volunteer work for Beta Club - reading to dogs...
This is Bing - oh my gosh he is so cute...
B still participates in running club. It is not super consistent due to the weather (it's been cold and rainy lately), but when the coach does have a run, she likes to run...
Bri had an physical science assignment on the states of matter. She did a comic about the water cycle - I think it is pretty amazing...
The teacher thought it was impressive too...
8th grade has been so much better than 7th grade. A LOT was expected out of the 7th grade honors students last year. Eighth grade teachers expect a lot too, but it is just more manageable. For the first time in middle school, Bri got all A's last semester (she always gets really good grades - A and B's, but she was super excited about all A's this time)...
And the biggest school news - Briana is preparing for high school (which starts in August). She took the PSAT a few months ago. There was a high school orientation night a of couple weeks ago and she requested her electives (Bri and her friend Meredith)...
I am NOT ready to have a freshman in high school. Where has the time gone?
Didn't she just start kindergarten like yesterday?
Well, B has just a few more months of middle school. She will be taking Milestones and ECOT exams in a few months. There is an 8th grade/end of middle school dance coming up in the spring. And of course there will be an 8th grade graduation in May. I better stock up on the tissues now!!
