This is my 1200th post written on "Life With Briana." I honestly can't believe it. I was a girl that really didn't even want to start a blog back in 2006, but I was talked into it. In the China adoption community as far as blogging goes, I am one of the last few bloggers standing with the same blog that I originally started with. I'm not one of the most popular blogs out there (but I hold my own), and I am fine with that. I'd rather have a fair amount faithful followers that really care about what is going on in my life than hundreds of people that just pop in once in a while.
This blog was a lifeline for me while I was enduring the long adoption wait. A long wait that started after I had already tried for 4 years to become a mom. Now it has become a lifeline for me as I twist and turn through the winding roads of motherhood. I have to say I miss those beginning days a bit. Getting to peek into the lives of some wonderful people that I would have never met if it had not been for the blogosphere. A number of my bloggy friends moved over to Facebook, some started other types of blogs that focus on other interests, and others have dropped off the radar completely. I am grateful for F@cebook because I am able to stay connected with a number of my bloggy friends there, but for me, it isn't really the same as blogging.
I want to thank my faithful followers for following my life and watching my
beautiful girl change from this baby...
Into this amazing little girl...
I probably won't be around for another 1200 posts. It took me almost six years to get to this place. But I do plan to stay around a bit longer. As Bri gets older and her life gets more complex, I will need more of her input as to how much of her life she wants me to continue to share with the world.
This blog has been a scrapbook of Briana's entire life from age 1 to age (almost) 6. She will know just about everything she did and said during that time. When she is old enough to read all of this one day, I hope she finds it amusing and enjoyable.
Thank you for following "Life With Briana" for 1200 posts.

I wasn't around when you began, but yours has been a wonderful lifeline for me while I wait for a referral. Thank you for sharing!
We have loved reading your blog! We began ours in summer 2005 and have over 1800 posts. I will continue blogging as I use it for family photos and stories and publish it into a book, my mordern day photo album. Our girls are growing up! And all so beautiful!

Yes, I was one of the "gang" who, while I waited for our daughter to come home, began to read your blog as a way of helping me stay "sane"!!! I hope you continue blogging for years to come, but I completely understand how "living life" can get in the way!!!
Hopefully we will always stay in touch!
