I snapped this picture yesterday of Bri's room (with waaay too many stuffed animals on her bed).
If you thought me giving away some of her toys was tough, just wait until her room is repainted later this week.
We are also having some other inside rooms painted and plan to have the outside freshened up as well. (I know it is a big shocker. I have always painted the rooms in my house myself. I decided to let someone else do it this time.)
B's room does needs a change. She wants
an older look now. She already picked out a new comforter and we are
choosing new paint this afternoon.
~ It will be ok. It will be ok. It will be ok. ~
I absolutely loved the color of this room when I chose it and I will definitely miss it. The light green/pastel baby days are over now.
Pictures of the finished product will come probably later next week.
~It will be ok.~
13 Kind Words:
it will be okay - and fun for you to do this with Bri. We did Kelsey's room when she was 4 - she picked everything with me an it was a blast!
I love the comforter - I can see why you have a pang over it going. But hopefully you and your little-big girl will have a great time together picking out her new style. Hannah is a ball of seething conflict at the moment as she desperately wants to appear to be a big girl but still clings to being a baby. Challenging days!
It will be ok - but yes, it is hard. We are moving in about a year, and I will miss Charlotte's bright yellow room - my favorite room in the house - painted with love long before we even jknew we were adopting from China.
Oh my gosh when Lily chose her "big girl" room it was so hard for me, so I can relate. When I had to say good bye to her beautiful Pottery Barn bedroom that I chose for my baby that I waited so long for I nearly cried LOL.
But I'm still alive. (but I liked her old one better) Am I allowed to say that as a mummy?
I am sure it will look lovely - can't wait to see the pictures!!
Lisa, its going to be gorgeous, Im sure!!!
Post piccies soon??? :)
It will be ok because you are still in control. Wait until she's older and wants to put up posters of half naked men and booze. LOL!
Yes it will be ok!!!! Can't wait to see her new room. She will love it!!! Xo
Changes are hard...especially for mommy. ((hugs))
It will be okay...even though you stole my "H" man. It better be a good lunch!!
Can't wait to see the finished room.
It "will" be okay. And you will love her new room. From.....a mom who does not like change either.
Hang in there. I totally get it. It will be Ok.
Oh yes, drastic but AWESOME! It perfectly fits your charming daughter! I’m sure she’s enjoying the overall look and feel of her room as much as I do. So, how’s the exterior painting? Is it done already?
