Lots Of Celebrations and Special Occasions

The third week of June and the end of July/beginning of August are both super crazy busy times of the year for my family.

My sister's birthday, my birthday, my brother-in-law's birthday, my nephew's birthday and Father's Day all fall within the same week in June. No joke. My sister-in-law's birthday is beginning of July. My dad's birthday is at the end of July and a week later is Bri's birthday. My other nephew's birthday is mid-August. And throw in Bri's gotcha day anniversary at the end of July too. Summertime is celebration central. 

My parents came over to my house the day before Father's Day so we could celebrate Father's Day and my birthday together a little early.

We brought in some BBQ and opened gifts. It was a nice quiet morning/afternoon with the family.

 The next day was actually Father's Day and all Doug wanted to do was chill out at home and grill - so that is what we did. Of course, there were presents...

Then my actual birthday rolled around on a Tuesday. I turned 45. I honestly can't believe it. Bri and I had a quiet day and Doug had to work. That evening Doug and Bri treated me to presents (beautiful earrings and blouses), a small chocolate cake and a delicious dinner out...

My childhood friend Jennifer sent me this necklace. So incredibly sweet...

My sister and I weren't able to see each other before our birthdays this year (we are three days apart), so Bri and I met my sister and my nephews for a pizza lunch the day after my birthday - where we also celebrated my nephew's 6th birthday...

My sweet friends Val and Amy took me out a week after my birthday to celebrate too (I love these girls)...

Now we get to the end of July. My dad had a very special milestone birthday this year. So not only did we have our annual birthday swim date, we also took him out for a special dinner.

Of course, we had to have our Papa's birthday/almost back to school swim date with the cousins...

On my dad's actual birthday, my sister and I (and the husbands and kids) took my dad (and mom) out for a special dinner to celebrate - and of course more presents to open...

Bri's gotcha day anniversary and Bri's birthday were also celebrated at the end of July and beginning of August (and I will blog more about those in separate posts).

 Whew! I'm still not quite done. Bri is having a get together with some of her girlfriends tomorrow to celebrate her birthday.

It's a crazy time of year I'm telling you! I'm exhausted!!
