Water, Water Everywhere (Including Our 6th Party Of The Year)

What can I say about the Georgia weather right now? It is hot. SOOOO hot. We just had our 13th day in the nineties and no significant rain in sight - at least in my part of town. So, what is the best thing to do in the heat? Get in the water!!! Tuesday, Angela brought her kids H, H and L over to our neighborhood pool and Amy and Mary Lin joined us as well. Amy and Mary Lin stayed for two hours of fun and the rest of us stayed an hour past that. Three hours in the sun makes you feel quite toasty - even with 50 SPF. Angela's girls swim like little fishes. It is really amazing to see. And you can see that Briana loves to swim with her goggles. My gal hates getting water in her eyes. The kids swam, ate lunch and just plain had a ball. I really love the lazy days of summer...

And on Saturday, we attended a pool party for our friend Mark and Alison's adorable daughter Lauren's second birthday! Their pool is amazing. Bri absolutely loved the slide. She literally went down it about 30 times. When the other kids got tired of it, Bri kept going. Come on - don't tell me you are surprised. ;)

And last Thursday, Bri was a little bored in the afternoon - so I threw a bathing suit on her and she ran in the sprinklers. She loves our sprinklers. I am praying that it rains here soon though. I am worried if it doesn't rain soon that we might get hit with water restrictions again! That would mean no daytime sprinklers. Ugh!

My gal in her cute two piece...

We have another swim date all set for today and we are really looking forward to it. My gal and I are already turning a nice golden brown and it is only June 10. And that is with lots of sunscreen and spending time in the shade!
