Briana had super fun-filled birthday on Friday. I woke her up a few minutes earlier than usual to open a few cards before getting dressed and heading to school. I bought mini-cupcakes for Briana to bring to school for snack time (not allowed to make homemade ones). After school, I picked her up and she hopped into the car with a big paper birthday crown on. She said the kids sang "Happy Birthday" to her and that all the kids ate the cupcakes except for one kid that didn't want one. (Heh - I love getting all the specific details from Bri about school.)
Briana wanted to eat at our favorite Chinese restaurant for dinner and wanted Gramma and Papa to join us. So that is what we did. She chowed down on soup, dumplings and egg rolls...
After dinner, we headed home for cake eating and present opening. Briana had a table full of presents from all the family - including a few too many from Mommy and Daddy. ;) It was funny how she would squeal when she got a present she really, really wanted. Five is such a fun age...
Can you tell she was a bit excited? LOL! She is all about any and all princesses and My Little Pony right now, and she got a bunch of that stuff which thrilled her. So after a full day of partying, Bri still hadn't had her "friend" birthday party. That was the next day.
More on that to come...
