Another Non-Camp Week Down

Another week of summer down! Though Bri didn't have a camp to fill her time, we still managed to keep quite busy. Summer seems to be flying by and it is making me feel a bit sad.

Sunday into Monday, Briana had a sleepover at Gramma and Papa's house (pictures to come). B absolutely loves sleeping over at Gramma and Papa's - it is like a 24 hour party! :)

Tuesday, Bri had a dentist appointment. Her teeth are perfect. She just needs to be a little more vigilant with brushing her very back teeth. No cavities and no talk of braces. As of right now, it doesn't even look like she'll need them. She still has her baby molars though, so we will see what happens/starts moving around when she starts losing those...

We made a quick stop at Walmart and that was a big mistake. I got so frustrated there. Waited in line to check out waaaay too long. Was so happy to get out of there.

As we were driving back into the neighborhood, we spotted the Kona Ice truck. We pulled into the driveway and waited for the truck to come by. Bri ended up with a huge frozen ice with waaay too many syrup flavors on it...  ;)

Wednesday, the weather was crazy, stupid hot. Almost 100 degrees outside. So, we met my sis and N1 and N2 at the mall where it was nice and cool (a different mall than the one where Bri had her croc incident). The kids had a blast playing at the indoor play area, riding the train, riding the carousel and checking out the Lego store...

Thursday, Kathy and Chani came over to hang out with us at my house. The girls had some awesome sprinkler fun (more pictures to come)...

And finally Friday was 4th of July. We spent the evening with wonderful friends (more pictures on that to come too)...

As hot as Wednesday was, Thursday was warm but beautiful. A slight breeze came in during the afternoon and there was very little humidity that day. It has stayed like this for days. July 4th was absolutely beautiful. Saturday too. And as I write this blog post on Sunday, I am sitting on my back porch enjoying temps in the 70's. How is this July in the south? I'm not complaining!

Briana has camp coming up tomorrow. It is cooking camp and she will be there with her friend Chani. The girls are going to learn French cooking - ooh la la! As a matter of fact, it is "Ooh La La" cooking camp. B's quite excited.

This whole two weeks off and two weeks on camp thing has worked out really well for us so far. B has gotten a nice balance of camp and also just being at home or having play dates.

We have no vacation plans this summer. We've already done Disney and Clearwater, FL this year, so we are laying low this summer. I think we may take one more (short) trip during fall break in Sept (to be determined).
