Our New Water Slide

Actually, it is a "new to us" water slide! :)

When my dear friend Carole offered up her son's old inflatable water slide, I immediately said yes. I knew her son had gotten years of fun out of it and now he is grown. I wanted to pay her something for it, but she said it wasn't necessary and graciously gave it to me for Briana. She's the best!

Saturday, we were supposed to have our friends/neighbors over for dinner and water sliding but unfortunately, Bri's friend E got very sick and sadly they had to cancel. We had the slide all set up and dinner on the smoker and we weren't sure what to do. Doug said, "Hey, let's call Khalid and see if he can bring Ansu and Kira to have dinner with us." Lucky us - they were available!

Bri decided to try out the slide on her own first...

She had a ball on there! I eventually told her she needed to stop, rest and dry off a bit. I didn't want her to burn out before Kira even arrived...

Our guests finally arrived and Kira was a bit tentative about the slide at first. She got pretty wet on her first slide down and she wasn't too keen about it...

We let her go a few times without the water...

Then we slowly turned the water back on and she was totally fine. She really ended up having a blast with Briana...

 

Then the girls decided to slide down over and over holding hands...

The slide was a major hit! We heard so many giggles that afternoon. I can't thank Carole enough for giving it to us. It will get a lot of use for sure!

And after dinner, the girls decided to dress like princesses and watch Cinderella. :)

With all that water sliding, Bri went to sleep pretty quickly that night. ;)
