Another year ~ another Boosterthon! The "Fun Run" is probably the most successful fundraiser for Bri's school each year. This year, the PTA is trying to raise money for a new playground. The PTA earned enough money from fundraising last year to put up a brand new computerized school sign in the front of school.
Bri was all ready to go that morning. We pulled her hair to the side to make marking the back of her Boosterthon shirt much easier...
The 4th graders raced at 11:30 on Friday...

Ready to be announced. Bri was so excited because several days before, each class had to come up with a team name. After voting, the name Bri came up with for the class was chosen (T's Touchdowns). Each class carried out a flag with their team name...

Bri knew that Doug and I were coming to watch her run, but she was super excited when she saw that Gramma had come too...

Then it was off they went (running laps to all sorts of current music)...
Bri never took a water break until the end. The only time she would slow down was to get her t-shirt marked by a teacher or when it was a walking lap...
By the end, Miss B ran 41 laps. She barely broke a sweat. Running club and soccer have done wonders for her...

So proud of my little runner. I can't believe there is only one more fun run in our future. Next year is 5th grade and then she heads off to middle school. Makes my heart beat a bit faster just thinking about it. :-o
