First U10 Rec Soccer Games

Last weekend, Briana played her first U10 games of the rec season, but her team had already played a game a couple of weekends before (and won) while she was still in academy.

But now Bri is back! And she did AWESOME!

Last Saturday was cold and wet, but we needed to play. A game already had been rescheduled due the rainy weekend before.

The girls were looking in the water drain at the field because it had rained pretty hard overnight (I know ~ fascinating)...

They watched some older girls play a game before they hit the field themselves...

Then it was game on!!!

The girls rocked it! They won 4-0. Briana made a goal. They looked amazing!

Then Sunday night was another game.

The girls were ready to go...

You can see by the end of the game, it was pitch black outside and our team unfortunately lost 2-1...

"So, so, so proud of Briana! She played soccer like a champ this weekend. Yesterday, she scored a goal and our team won 4-0. Tonight our team lost 2-1, but the other team was super strong, we were short 3 players and lost another player due to an injury, one girl on the other team was illegally elbowing and not being fouled for it, and the other team had 5 players that had already played U10 last year. Plus the kids played at 6:45 at night! Our team did amazing! Briana played almost the entire second half straight through without stopping. My little energizer bunny! The other team said our team was the toughest team they had come across yet. Go Golden Eagles!"

 There will be a rematch with Sunday's team in a few weeks. If all the girls show up for the game and are in top form, hopefully they can beat that team next time. Retribution! ;)

It is awesome to see Briana so happy again. She played hard and strong. If I had any lingering doubts about our switch back to rec, they all completely left last weekend. Bri was a total rock star.
