Ooh La La Cooking Camp

Can you tell Bri had fun at cooking camp last week? I'm not so sure. ;)

Bri's cooking camp for kids was all about French cooking. They learned how to make pastries, baguettes, fondue, soup, salad, crepes and French toast. All things French!

Briana was pretty excited when we headed out Monday morning...

And she was even more excited that Chani was in the camp with her...

The camp was from 9AM-12PM, and the parents were able to watch the kids sample the dishes they made when we came to pick up. And if we were lucky, we got a bite or two as well...

Sweet, adorable friends...

The 1st day, they learned all about the pâtisserie (pastry shop)...

The kids had to wait for everyone to get served before they could try their food. And they had to say together "Bon Appetit, You May Eat!"...

On day 2, they learned all about breakfast in France...

Omelets, fruit salad and French toast...

In the front lobby, there is a little kitchen set that the kids like to play with while they wait for camp to start...

Day 3 was all about lunch. The kids learned that lunch is the most important meal of the day in France...

Vegetable soup and chicken salad...

Briana sported her temporary tattoos on Day 4...

Playing with the kitchen set again...

Chef Kim ready to take the kids back to wash their hands and get cooking...

That day, the kids cooked dinner and some dessert of course! Crepes, sorbet and chocolate cake...

Sadly, the last day of camp finally arrived - day 5. Bri was all about Monster High...

Funny thing - a camp mate of Bri's was all about Monster High that day too...

Friday was the cooking competition. The kids were split into two teams. Chef Kim chose her favorite dishes at the end...

Look at all that delicious food!!!

Chef Kim's favorite sweet dish was made by Bri's team and her favorite savory dish was made by the other team (Chani was on that team!).

The girls had the best time. A big thanks to Chef Kim and Young Chefs Academy...

Look at all these recipes...

Kathy and I did a lot of hanging out together while the girls were at camp (which was really nice).

I'm so glad the girls had this experience - and even better, they had this experience together. I can't wait to try making some of these recipes with Bri at home!!
