The Tuesday of our last week of summer vacation was Papa's birthday. I invited my parents over to swim at my neighborhood pool along with my sister and the cousins. I thought it was a perfect way to celebrate my dad's birthday.
I planned on having everyone come to the neighborhood pool that is closest to my house. Unfortunately the day before they were all due to come over, I found out that particular pool was going to be closed for cleaning. Ugh. I had to scramble to figure out where else to go.
I live in a huge neighborhood, so luckily, there are 5 pools to choose from in our community. I picked the next closest pool that had some cool "bells and whistles" and had everyone go there instead. It ended up being just as great (maybe even better) than the pool right near me...
There is a water mushroom and cool squirty water fountains...
We all had a wonderful time swimming...
And the kids love running in the fountains...
They loved the water mushroom too (especially N2 - we could hardly drag him away from there)...
After swimming for a couple of hours, we all headed back to my house for some lunch...
A little birthday pie and some present opening for Papa...
It was a great morning/early afternoon. Everyone had a great time. It was such a nice way to start wrapping up summer vacation!
