Deb's Visit - Day 4 and 5

Wednesday night, Doug, Deb and I started talking about Miami and Cuban food, and we got a big craving. So, we decided to eat at a nearby Cuban restaurant for lunch on Thursday afternoon called Papi's. It was SO delicious. The kids really enjoyed it too.

After lunch, Doug needed to head back home to work but the mall is right down the street and I thought the kids would like playing at the indoor play area. Of course, they really did. And when they saw the mall train, they definitely wanted to do that too...

They rode the train all by themselves...

After the train ride, we went to the food court to get the kids some frozen yogurt. Deb sat down with the kids and I went over to the pretzel place to get a soft pretzel and ran into my friend Julie that I have known since high school. I told Julie that she had to meet my friend Debra from my Miami days.

Seeing the two of them meet was so surreal. It was like my two separate lives (Miami and Atlanta) collided at that very moment. It was pretty amazing. Never in a million years did I think those two ladies would ever meet each other in person.

We finally headed home and the kids wanted to do some outside stuff - badminton (without a net) and bubble blowing...

It was pretty warm outside that day, so we went back inside. We had a quiet dinner at home. That night after the kids went to bed, the adults kept talking until late. We laughed so hard that night that our stomachs were hurting. I love hanging out with people that know how to really LAUGH.

Friday finally came and it was time for Deb and the boys to head out. I was so sad. I have to make sure I don't let so much time pass before seeing them again.

That morning, Sean and Bri got some Pokeman card playing and trading in...

Then we got a couple of photos before they pulled out of the driveway...

What an amazing visit. It was so good to see Debra and I was SO sad when they had to leave. Next time we will head up to MD to see her. And I love how well the kids got along. It is a wonderful week that I will never forget.
