More and More Get Togethers!

Over the last couple of weeks, even though life has been a bit crazy, Bri has managed to see some friends. Bri was so excited to meet up with her school friend T. We met her and her mom at a nearby park. When the girls saw each other, they hugged for the longest time. It made my heart melt!

 Right before we left to park to go get some lunch, Briana accidentally slid down some stairs on the playground. It had rained the night before so the playground equipment was a bit slippery. Her feet came up and she slid down the railing on her hands and landed right on her feet. I am not kidding. It was like watching the garage dance scene from "Footloose" circa 1984...

Bri was stunned and actually rubbed her upper arm a bit on the way down as she held on. She started to cry because it was pretty scary. She had my heart pounding a bit for sure. Thank goodness she is so strong. Me and T's mom thought that was a good stopping point to head to lunch!

Bri and I also finally got to meet fellow adopter K a few weeks ago. I have been following K for years in blogland and on FB and she moved to the Atlanta area recently. We met at a nearby mall and I got to finally meet her beautiful daughter's B and E! The girls were very, very, very excited to meet and liked each other from the moment they met. Bri was so excited in fact it was a bit difficult to curb her enthusiasm. Heh. I needed to reel her in a few times.

It was so good to finally meet Krista and her girls. Definitely need to set up another meeting soon!

And finally, my nephew N2 turned 1 on June 22nd. My grandmother was near the end that day, but the family still decided to get together for a couple of hours that morning to celebrate N2's big day. 

After pizza, cake and present opening, Bri and Cousin N1 decided to jump around in the sprinkler a bit...

With the way the county has set up the school schedule, Bri gets 9 1/2 weeks off in the summer (with more breaks during the school year). We are now in week 6. School starts on August 1. I have tried so hard to get Bri together with as many her friends as I can. And we still haven't hit everyone yet! 

I am exhausted!!!
