Oh. My. Gosh. Briana had the BEST time at art camp last week. I signed her up at the place that Briana has done several afternoon workshops. I had never put her in a camp there before, but I wanted to give it a try. I chose the week that the kids learned about New York art and museums (other weeks focused on other parts of the country). When friends Beverly and Valerie heard I signed Bri up for this camp, they decided to sign up Emma and Imerie. Yay! Bri had friends going too - bonus!!!
Here is Emma and Bri going in on the first day...
Bri, Emma and Imerie on Day 2...
I went to my grandmother's funeral on Wednesday, but I decided to let Bri go to camp that day and Valerie picked up Bri from camp and watched her that afternoon for me. Imerie and Bri dined on Chick Fil A and of course did more art back at Val's house...
When I picked up Bri on Thursday, there were all sorts of recycled items (um, garbage) taped and glued together to make "sculptures." Of course Bri's towered over everyone else's - LOL!...
This is what it looked like spray painted in gold and silver...
The last day of camp, Doug brought Briana and Imerie to camp and he also picked up Bri that afternoon so I could get my hair done (nice hubby). Here are the girls waiting for camp to start...
Val took these shots of the girls as well on the last day...
Bri came home with a stack of artwork. These are just a couple of her pieces...
It was pretty cool when Doug started talking about Frank Lloyd Wright and Bri jumped in and said "He lived on a waterfall!"
B absolutely loved this camp. I will definitely sign her up again next year. She and I gave it a big thumbs up!
