Red The Elf

Despite life being a bit hectic lately, Red the Elf made an appearance right after Thanksgiving.

One day, he decided to hang from the chandelier and steal a Lego off the dining room table. That is where Doug and Bri are putting together their winter scene Legos...

Yesterday morning, Red was here - sitting with my bride doll...

Briana laughed so hard and said "Mama, Red is marrying the bride today!"

It is hard to keep up with Red sometimes, but it sure is fun to watch Bri find him each morning.

A Visit With Santa

It is that time of the year again! The time to get in good with the big guy in red. My girl was very excited and went to see Santa with list in hand...

All dressed to see Santa Claus...

Doug and I always take Briana to see Santa a few days before Thanksgiving. The line is super short and Bri is off from school that week, so that is when we go. And Gramma and Papa always love to go and watch Bri talk to Santa...

Showing Gramma her list (Briana was wearing hair clips that were milk and a cookie)...

As we waited for Santa to come, Briana kept us entertained by performing her infamous "Hip Hop Turkey" number...

Bri was the first to hop on Santa's lap that day...

A picture with Gramma and Papa after talking with Santa and paying way too much for adorable Santa visit photos...  ;)

Let's hope my sweet girl gets (most of) everything she wants for Christmas this year!

Pretzel Treats

Briana absolutely loves making these chocolate pretzel treats, so the day before Thanksgiving, Bri and I got to work...

They are so easy to make and are oodles of salty/sweet goodness.

Totem - Cirque du Soleil

I had to take a short hiatus from blogging due to some personal issues, but I am back now and ready to share the fun Doug, Bri and I had the Sunday before last at Cirque du Soleil's Totem.

I am sure you all know what huge Cirque fans we are and this show did not disappoint.

We arrived at Atlantic Station and the shopping area was all decorated for Christmas...

We walked around one of our favorite stores looking at expensive art and furniture...

We then walked to the famous yellow and blue tent...

Doug asked me to snap a quick pic of how close to the stage we were. I totally washed him out, but you can see that we were in the front row...

You are not allowed to take pictures of the show under the big top, so these are some pictures I swiped from the internet...

The show was awesome - everything was just so beautiful.

And then we ate at a fancy nearby restaurant for dinner...

It really was a fun evening and a nice way to start off the holiday season.

And we took a few pictures of our family that afternoon before we headed out to see the show...

Bri took the last one and it was a bit blurry. :)

I love being able to give Bri all of these neat experiences. She is such a little artist. Cirque is right up her alley.

Hope all my American friends had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday...

And my sweet girl in another kind of turkey hat...
