Doug, Bri and I had intended to visit one of our very favorite attractions - The Enchanted Lights At Rock City - before Christmas. But we were not able to get up to Tennessee before Christmas and opted to check out the lights two days after Christmas.
We knew it was going to be very cold, so we bundled up Thursday afternoon and headed to Chattanooga. We grabbed some dinner and then drove up Lookout Mountain.
Here is Miss B all ready to go...
I did not bring my good camera like in years past - I have a lot of beautiful photos from Rock City. I decided to just use my cell phone camera, so the pictures are a bit blurry this year.
You will get the gist...
Entering the lighted wonderland...
I love the part of the Rock City where you can see seven states from the very top of the mountain. And this lighted star is always hung from the side mountain. Amazing...
A beautiful full moon...
It was so cold that night, fires were lit all around so patrons could warm up...
And hot chocolate was being sold of course...
After our quick hot chocolate stop, it was time to see some more lights...
Love the nativity scene...
Bri did end up with a new stuffed polar bear cub...
One of our favorite parts of the tour, the Fairyland Taverns and Mother Goose Village...
Briana read all the Mother Goose stories along the way...
I'm so glad we were able to get to Rock City this year. It was less crowded after Christmas obviously, which was really nice. Not sure if we will go before or after Christmas next year!
And speaking of lights, I realize I didn't post a picture of our house this year...
